Call for Submission – Earrings Everyday

Hi Everyone!  I’m super excited to tell you about a new blog that is underway – Earrings Everyday.  This is a group blog showcasing earrings in all their glory from some very exciting designers.

The blog is for inspiration for those who make earrings and a showcase for those who love to adorn themselves with unique tiny treasures.

My awesome team of designers include myself, Lorelei Eurto, Erin Prais-Hintz, Kristy Abner and Marie Cramp.

But I’m looking for one more designer and thought why not put out a call and have some fun in my search efforts!

Who should apply:
Anyone who sells jewelry online and can commit to writing two blog posts a month.

What am I looking for?
Someone who can make beautiful earrings and take great photos.  A designer who is constantly trying out new styles and ideas when it comes to earring construction.  A handmade component is nice but not required.

How to apply:
To apply simply leave a comment with a direct link to your most amazing pair of earrings and a link to your online shop.  (The earrings don’t have to currently be for sale, they can be a photo from your sold section, your flickr account, etc.)

*If you are reading this post on Creative Hive or Facebook – please go directly to the blog post to enter.  Only comments left on the Art Bead Scene blog will qualify.

I will pick the designer next Thursday – so hurry!!!

This is an awesome opportunity 🙂 and a great idea for a blog.
I've been making jewellery for four years now but I've only recently taken the plunge into this exciting yet difficult world of selling my work.
My focus is on beaded jewellery and semi-precious stones and crystal, though I am constantly improving my techniques and looking into new ones too.
Here is a link to my post on the September bead soup reveal day that features two pairs of earrings I made. Very proud of those 🙂

It is hard to choose 1 pair to include, but here is a fabulous pair…http://www.flickr.com/photos/pinkzinnias/4694075711/in/photostream

It's amazing you came up with this idea. I started focusing on earring designs lately. I would have to say my favorite type of jewelry is earrings for me personally. I love wearing long dangly earrings!
Heather, I don't have an online shop right now, but I would REALLY like to be involved with this particular project! Perhaps, you can find a spot for me somewhere? I wanted to tell you I'm very much interested in teaching, again. Especially, when our book is out as some of the knotting techniques I do are within the pages of our upcoming book. Here's the link to my flickr with my recent earrings:

I would love to apply. I have a new line of recycled 80's enamel post earrings that I have sanded off the enamel and Alcohol inked and made them into dangle earrings. So far I have put up on etsy so the designer can make the earrings. The writing of two post will be the hardest for me, as I am not very articulate.

This is a wonderful opportunity. I make a wide variety of earrings using copper, silver, Czech Glass and natural materials. I am just getting into hammering and shaping copper and silver into "wearable art", and also enjoy wire wrapping. Here is a link to my latest creation, as well as a link to my store. I consider myself to be a pretty good writer, so I would love to take a stab at blog posting for you.

Sounds like a lot of fun…
I like to make earrings and I like to make all the components in them myself. Am in need of a class in metal working – a future goal of mine! Currently, I work in polymer, which gives me incredible flexibility as a designer in form and colour. Am fond of this pair of earrings, but I don't stay with any one thing for a long time, as I do experiment a lot:

This sounds like an amazing opportunity and I would love to be considered. I'm much too humble (and a little biased) to be able to pick out my most AMAZING pair of earrings. Instead, I'll share with you one of my more 'unique' designs. These sold back in May, but I thought they were interesting: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/50469197

I usually don't make a lot of earrings, mostly bracelets and necklaces. But this would be a great reason to start playing around more. After all who doesn't love something fun to adorn ones ears, right?
I love trying new things, like these electroplated lampwork flowers…

I'd love to be considered, I'm no writer but I think I muddle through it. My favorite earrings, that's tough. Here's one of them, I think they are quite unusual so that is why I chose them.

I have to show another, I made these as a sort of rough draft for some wedding earrings I was making, love them so much!! Better than the final pair I made in silver actually.

Oh gosh – this sounds wonderful! Such a brilliant cadre designers! I'm just getting into earrings – I probably would not qualify for your consideration since I am a relative newbie when it comes to earring design, but I might submit a photo later this week (what the heck). I'm looking for a group blog to participate in, to stretch my wings a bit more…so, who knows?

At any rate, I am SO looking forward to this new blog and seeing all the amazing design ideas!!!

What a great project! I would love to be considered – earrings are my favourite type of jewellery to wear and I love to make them…I have my own style but work in a number of different ways when designing….it's so hard to pick just one pair of earrings, but you can see my Sakura earrings here:

and also a few others on the same post, from throughout the years….

I would like to be considered, I love making earrings, I consider them therapy after a hard day at my day job. I am trying to work in more hand made beads into my jewelry, though gemstones are my first love. Two blog postings a month, very do-able and I think my photographs are pretty good. You can see my work at http:reginaswritings.blogspot.com, which also links to my store on RubyLane.

What a cool idea Heather, I follow all of you in the various blogs, Etsy and FB. I have been designing earrings with art beads from several artists and the feedback at shows is awesome. I also use my own altered metal as well. I have a blog and I am friends with all of your designers. My photography is pretty good and I think twice a month is a good plan. It would be a pleasure and great company. Please throw my hat in the ring. I would be thrilled to be involved with this group.

Well, I don't sell jewellery nor do I make that many earrings (my ears aren't pierced) so I'm not writing for a chance to be part of the blog.

I just wanted to say that I hope it will include inspiration for us without pierced ears too. Nowadays there are much less painful alternatives to the horrible clip-ons I experienced as a kid in the 80's (I've bought several of the different types available, plus a couple of different cuff styles). And cuffs have been popular lately too. I'd love to see "non-piercing" earrings on the blog as inspiration. Apart from the japanese bead websites I visit, it's rarely something I see.

I thought I had a better pic to show as an example, but apparently I haven't uploaded it, but here you can see clip-ons with rings, a very useful style (orange flower and green leaves, upper left side). To the right are also a couple of simple wire wrapped rings. In the middle are "around the ear" cuffs in an egyptian revival style (my first try at that type of cuff): http://wildrosesandblackberries.blogspot.com/2010/02/earring-display.html
