Ribbons & Art Beads

I love the look of ribbon mixed in art bead jewelry.  I wish I used it more often in my own designs.  Seems like the perfect fit for this month’s challenge!
These are some of my current favorites:
I love this simple and elegant way to mix ribbon with your art beads.  This is a free project from Ornamentea featuring ceramic beads from Elaine Ray.  Check it out here.

What a pretty necklace. I too love ribbon, just have never figured out how to add it to my creations. Thanks for posting the link.

Thanks for sharing the sites with us and the free tutorial. I too love fibers and ribbon. I am trying to incorporate them in my designs as well but I am sometimes at a loss on how to go about it…now that I have some good sites where I can purchase the fibers and ribbon, maybe I'll get more creative and will start adding them to my creations.

me too! http://www.flamekissedartglass.com also has fabulous silk ribbons (similar to jamnglass, with ultra quick shipping and immediate response to inquiries), and their etsy shop, dfer7666 has an enormous selection of colors–both crinkle silk and smooth silk.

Nice to add the ribbon effect to the beads and experimentation is how new varieties of jewelry could be created …this is indeed very exciting watch.
