Art Journey Challenges, Launch Pad

Art Journey One: Launch Pad

Have you started creating for the new Art Journey yet? Heather’s illustrations are truly remarkable to behold. Every time she comes out with a new one I declare it as my favorite. The two images for this month are no exception.

Each time we start out on a new Art Journey, we will also post a Launch Pad. This will serve as a place to start and give you some ideas on themes and motifs and other ideas you might with to use. I will also attempt to find a bit of poetry to add to the inspiration.

Mother Nature by Heather Powers, 2018

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
